This post is in response to all the above queries. Well ! i have purchased a Nokia Lumia Â Windows Phone 8 . It’s pretty good and i have encountered the same problem.
So while synchronizing all my E-mail account , i got an error with Gmail account . Whenever i try to sync. my Google account , it doesn’t work and when i google it then found out that this is a common problem with some of the Windows Phone users .
Reason !! Â – Â Â ” Gmail Security level 2 “
This feature of Google allows you to add additional security feature called TWO STEP VERIFICATION to your Gmail account .
In this option you will receive a confirmation code whenever you try to login your Google account. Now the problem is that this feature is not supported in iPhone , Windows phone & other . So whenever you try to sync. Google on your device with this option ENABLED you will always get an error or no response .
So in order to sync. your Google account you must disable this option .
Fix Windows Phone 8 Gmail Error on Nokia Lumia !!
Step 1. Login your Gmail Account
Step 2 . Setting > Security option.
Step 3. Disable option –
” 2-Step Â Verification “.
Step 4. Save and Logout Gmail .
Â Step 5. Now try to sync your Google Account again on your Smartphone .
I am 100 % sure that this will work because i have also faced the same problem and have successfully solved it . Google now perfectly synchronize on my smartphone .

If still not Working ….. . . . . .. .
1) Log in to your gmail in desktop computer (or mobile through internet browser).
2) Go to Account > Security
3) Under 2-step verification, you’ll see a link “Manage your application specific passwords”
4) There you can generate an application-specific password.
5) Enter the generated password in the password field of your mobile app instead of your regular password.
